Information from the DEV TEAM is that 9.2.1 works with an already jailbroken and unlocked phone. However, the actual jailbreaking process when using SPIRIT does not work correctly. You can upgrade but if you need to restore and re-apply Spirit for any reason you should downgrade itunes back to 9.1
