unlocking 3G question...
A (perhaps) stupid question. If I missed the answer elsewhere, I'm sorry, but sifting through what I could find didn't seem to answer the question.
So I just got a 3G iPhone from a friend who updated to a iP4.
He has upgraded the 3G to iOS4. I rolled it back to 3.1.2 with Pwnage 3.6 to jailbreak & activate it - but it seems as though it's not unlocked. I'd like to unlock it if it's still possible.
Fuzzyband says it is Bootloader version 05.09 / Baseband 05.13.04
Do I need to upgrade back to OS4 and use Pwnage tool 4.01 to unlock/jailbreak it or do I have other options ? I'd prefer to stay with 3.1.2 (or 3.1.3 if it can be unlocked/jailbroken).

Thanks !
I'll give it a try.
My follow up question to that is - will this preclude me from upgrading/unlocking/jailbreaking using pwnagetool 4.01 if I decide to upgrade later ?
Sorry, life was so much easier when I had the 2G. I knew what I was doing, I knew as long as I didn't screw with the baseband and used pwnage tool things would work fine and dnandy. Now with all the crap going on I get lost between the baseband issues and the eighty zillion different unlock/jailbreak/activate programs.

No it won't stop you from doing anything later on.
