activation question for selling iphone

I am selling an iphone 4 & and iphone 3gs and I bought them both from att with new two year upgraded contracts. Both phones are sealed. My question is when I sell them (they are on ebay) will they have problems activating them? I haven't activated them or even taken them out of the sealed box. I see other people having problems when they are not activated because they need the person's social security number. So, do I activate them with ATT and then sell them and they can get their own sim card and be able to activate in their name? Please help.

You'll have to state that it needs to be unlocked on ATT, and if they buy the phone then presumeably they can activate it themselves.
