Locked 3gs

I'm a noob at this, but have the following:

Baseband: 05.13.04
Bootloader: 6.4
Model #: MC135
Tethered: No
Firmware: 4.0.1

Is there anything currently I can do to unlock this phone? I'm being told since it was upgraded to most recent OS (4.0), I'm screwed until a "workaround" is posted and I cannot "downgrade" to 3.1.3....

and...I have tried numerous attempts at downgrading, restoring to "custom ipsw's", all the "jailbreak/unlock" programs....but nothing. Still have the "Apple w/ connect to iTunes" logo showing w/ only "emergency call" available.

Whoever told you you can't unlock it because you upgraded to the most recent OS is correct.

You need to jailbreak your phone before you can unlock it and there are currently no jailbreaks to get you out of your situation yet.
