3g ultrasnow 3.1.3: no service

every time I unlock with ultrasnow,
I get no service.
I was on 4.0 firmware,
but i downgraded to 3.1.3 bc the battery drains too fast in 4.0

but even when i unlocked on 4.0,
i got no service.

And im pretty sure its not a hardware issure,
because if i go into maps application,
and try to pull up my location,
it pulls up exactly where im at.

Turn on then back off airplane mode? Turn off 3g? Reboot phone? Reset network settings?

i have tried all that jargon to get it working noting.... even opened the phone up made a make shift antenna booster out of foil but... still nothing i assume its to do with the boot loader 6.04 as the base band can be unlocked 5.12.1 much to my effort my iphone 3G is now a brick might sell it to a blind kid !!

i think i had a google while trying to unlock it and from what i found its not promising as the dev teams only just figured out 5.9 oh well least i've got a fancy paper weight or a door stop
