Is it possible to activate without Sim

Unfortunately, no. And being a new bootrom 3Gs you are out of luck. My suggestion is borrow a SIM card of the official carrier from someone, perhaps you can find on eBay, idk.
I can't tell you to wait comex new jailbreak because that will probably be a userland, and you will need to be activated to jailbreak.

ok, now i have the original SIM card, and iTunes gives no options, but upgrade to iOS4
can i activate and stay with 3.1.3?

are you in recovery mode or activation mode? (if theres a slide for emergency option, your at the right screen)
Just put the sim in the phone, and plug it into the computer. iTunes will do its thing and will activate the phone. It'll ask you once if you'd like to update, just hit no.The only thing I ask in return for helping, is that you click the thanks button, Thanks!
