    Default 1st gen iPhone

    Hi all,

I have a 1st generation iPhone - still works great. I'm on 2.1.2 I think, all unlocked and jailbroken.

What do I need to upgrade to 3.x ?

Plug it into iTunes than click on Check For Update. Whatever it says is the highest firmware you can use. So find out the firmware than click cancel. Than go to iPod, iPhone and iPad Firmware Download and download the corresponding firmware.

Well I don't think you shudent because u got the unlock on it... I wudent risk losing it. I wouldejt do it. If you are iTunes will upgrade you to 4.0 and u don't have jailbreak/unlock yet.. Well you do but it's not stable enough.. If you would do it you have to download firmware 3.1.3 from a site and use sprit

he cant do 4.0, because its a 2g. i tunes will likely only allow him to get 3.1.3. if i were you i would get 3.1.3 from itunes and then use spirit to JB and use ultrasnow to unlock.
