The best method is:
Click on Update on itunes, that will install Official version 4.0 on your device.
Then Use redsn0w 0.9.5 to Hacktivate\Jailbreak your device
Then once booted the phone, enter Cydia, Manage, Sources, Click on repo666.ultrasn0w.com, and install Ultrasn0w 0.93 to get your device Unlocked.

if i update it to 4.0, will i be able to HACKTIVATE THEN UNLOCK IT
