my 3gs 3.1.2 is untethered w blackra1n. Is anyone elses?

I have no problems rebooting or turning off my phone.
Everything is still fine when I reboot.
Is this normal? From what I read everywhere is you have to plug the phone back into a computer everytime you reboot.

What happened when you reboot? Connect to iTunes screen? If so, you have a tethered JB. If not, you have an untethered JB. That's what it means.

My phone reboots fine. It doesn't have the connect to iTunes screen. It's still jailbroken.
From what I read blackra1n is only a tethered jailbreak. Why is mine untethered then?
