    Default iPhone 3g upgrade to os4.0? unlock for 5.11.07?

    Can anyone help me? I have an iPhone 3g running 3.1.2 os that was sn0wbreezed then unlocked with blackra1n. Its got modem firmware 5.11.07. Can i shift restore with a 4.0 restore ipsw then unlock it safely? Any help with this would be great. Or would it just be better (and safer) to remain happy and comfortabke with my current firmware and unlock.

    So should i create a custom 4.0 ipsw? With which program? Then unlock with what?

    dramias is confused...

    iwindoez- if your using a 3g, just restore to 4.0, and use redsn0w to jailbreak, then ultrasn0w to unlock if you need

    Custom firmware with sn0wbreeze 1.6 (windows) and do shift restore. Unlock with ultrasn0w 0.93
