Hello can you help a Noob out? Ive had my 2G for awhile now just sorta brainless on the whole jailbreak/unlocking thing So I've seen around there's a custom 3.1.3 firmware thats available that is supposed to mimic the new ios 4 in some ways for the original iphone. My question is if I try this will it also be unlocking my 2G or just jailbreaking it? I'm with Tmo and have firmware 3.1.2 at the moment, so do I need to wait until they have an unlocked version of this custom firmware or am I good to go? Has anyone tried this new firmware out yet? Does anyone even own an old 2G besides me? lol Thanks!
