3GS Jail Break with Spirit

I have an iphone 3gs (3.1.3, 5.12.1 ) .
I activated the phone using a friends AT&T sim when i was in USA
I dont have the AT&T sim any more as I moved to India.

Currently I am able to use it as an ipod.

For using spiritjb do i need ATT sim once more after jail breaking. Or the activated state of the phone will not be disturbed once I use jail break tool

You need the sim.

If you are already activated and now using as an Ipod, you don't need the sim to jailbreak your iPhone with Spirit

My concern is after I jailbreak with spirit,

When iphone reboots will it again ask for activation using the carrier sim..

As I dont have the sim any more.

no it goes back to lockscreen.

Just make sure you have iTunes 9.1 and not 9.2 because iTunes 9.2 will not work with spirit jailbreak
