Should I jailbreak my 3gs 3.1.3 5.12.1

Will i have to Jailbreak my Iphone anyways to unlock my phone when they release it?
Or should I keep it unjailbroken?
I have the feeling that when the dev team release an unlock for the 5.12.1 you will need it JB anyway?

EVERYONE should jailbreak. Let's get this straight- you have a contract with AT&T? Go ahead and spirit jb it and enjoy (but DO store your shsh file)- future jailbreaks may well require an update/restore anyway.

yep basically if the dev team is waiting for a release of 4.0 then that what they are jailbreaking and unlockingt wouldnt make sense to wait for 4.0 and then unlock 3.1.3

You have be to jailbroken before you can unlock. Unless you have factory unlock, which I am sure you don't.

Best thing to do is wait. Im sure you will want to upgrade to iOS 4. Jailbreaking now, then upgrading to 4 would remove the previous jailbreak anyway. Just wait for iOS 4.
