When is the unlock coming? - Any ideas?

Okay, we know that there is an exploit out there but it is still not released.

Do any of you know when they plan to release it and which program it will be released for?

I am dying to get my iPhone up and running...

So on the 21 the new iOS 4 is coming out, so is the unlocked/jailbroken version set for release on that same day poseidon79?

Just have patience. The unlock should come out shortly after os4. The only people that can provide you with a release date is either the dev team or geohot...

The unlock was state to be released when the iOS4 firmware is released but you know its going to take a while after the release for them to officially be put to the public

give them some time it should come out anytime from the 21st- july 18th, i would say sometime around the iphone 4 release

They most likely will do it after the iPhone 4 drops. That way they can test it on that device too.

Funny you should ask because I did use to have "a hot line to the Dev Team's secret lair" but I lost it when I accidently locked my iPhone and had to reset it..


Some good thoughts on the subject guys..

Launch is in 8 days so if we are lucky they will release the software soon aften... FINGERS CROSSED!

I say from june 21-28....the unlock is just waiting to come out. The dev-team is going to be hated if they make us wait any longer than expected. June or nothing. If not by June I'm getting a new phone with lower baseband. This is rediculous 4 months+ for one unlock!!!!¡!¡¡¿??¿₩¥$$£€%%%‰‰'’‘ëęėeēéèêæàaáâäãåāñ ń!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think they care if they are hated. It is their choice on when to unlock it. Doing unlocks is a cat and mouse game with Apple and they know when to make the right moves for future items. Like if they wasted the unlock on the 3.1.3 update which gave you 5.12. Then they may not have had one ready for the iPhone 4. Then people would have been yelling for an unlock on the new phone. Non of the people that do unlocks are stupid they know how to play Apple's game.
