Default Please Help! Unlocking 2g using snowbreeze

Everything went smoothly until the very last step while the phone was restoring:

    Itunes gave me this error:
“The Iphone “Iphone” could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1600).”

Now the phone is in restore mode and I don't know what to do.

SnowBreeze will not work on 2G , that is why you are getting error. You are applying the wrong tool to jailbreak. Why can't you use this link, I don't see any problems using Redsn0w to jailbreak. Follow this link :

thanks yeow I'll try that. The guy on my last post redirected me to snowbreeze for some reason. Just restored the phone to factory settings, and will try this again.

Just goes to show that even Mods don't know everything!

As an after thought, maybe it would be best if MMI had different sub-sections for each model of phone, being that there'll soon be four?????
