iPhone 3GS 3.1.3

Hi All,

I've read through a bunch of forums and threads today, but I still need a simple answer, if possible

I am buying a 3GS (everyone is ready to upgrade it seems) and getting a good deal on it.

But I want to unlock/jailbreak etc because I'm not AT&T.

So...it's a 3GS upgraded to 3.1.3 - never been jailbroken or unlocked.

Can I unlock or not? If more information is needed, what and how?

It's less than a year old.

so I've read that there is an unlock now for 05.12.01 ? Can I now jailbreak and carrier unlock this phone?

Use Spirit to jailbreak and Ultrasn0w to unlock.

what if it has not been activated? any way around that? what about upgrading to iOS4 (will I be able to do that in the future?)

Need an AT&T sim to activate, you can't go to 4.0 jailbroken until the new jailbreak is release.

Hello guys i hope you can help me, i have iphone 3.1.3 baseband 5.12.1 new bootloader i jailbreak and unlock when i put my SIM i get signal and i receive calls and sms but cant make calls or anything it asked me to connect it to ITune any help please ?
