    Default Questions about unlocking iPhone

Will I still be able to use my sim card's 3G plan? Not other cards, but the card from the carrier plan. Just if an unlock comes to my version of the iPhone 3GS.

Yes, of course, you are considered unlocked to official carrier therefore new unlock tools will not affect your current status.

You can unlock your Iphone if there is an unlock for your Iphone and you can use any GSM sim card including the official carrier.
