Hey guys,

I was able to downgrade my iphone's boot loader to 5.8 and the baseband to 05.11.07 then unlocked my iPhone 3.1.3 .

I can help u if you are also stuck like me for months but I was able to find a way.

The Dev team and Geohot might say its forever that we cannot unlock our iPhones, thats not true!!

Why not put a detailed guide here so the mods can sticky it then?

Just a quick question, you downgraded your bootloader to 5.08 so you could downgrade the baseband?

Shouldn't your baseband jump down to 4.26.08 then not 5.11.07?

... its quite complicated, i got it professionally done at the apple store.

yeah i downgrade my bootloader, it was 6.2 and now its 5.8.
also my baseband is now 05.11.07

Too good to be tru, i wouldn't advice anyone to send an iphone in china just to check wether is true or nor

So the Apple store took your phone, opened it up, switched put your bootloader to the 5.08 bootloadet, closed it back up, then downgraded your baseband to 5.11.07?

So Apple helped you unlock your phone?

Apple couldve just put your IMEI into their system and unlocked then phone without touching the hardware or the baseband.

Why would they do that?

The current downgrade of a baseband with 5.08 bootloader (not 5.8) puts it down to 4.26.08. Why is yours at 5.11.07 if mentioning bootloaders has any importance to your post?

Im not interested in seeing. Im interested in why Apple could punch in a number and unlock iphones in 2 seconds but instead they changed your hardware to downgrade your software so you could unlock.

You just wasted your money dude.

How much did you pay for that kind of service?

YEAH i meant 5.08. geez just a typo. it just did, im bootloader 5.08 and baseband 5.11.07.

well good luck to you all trying to unlock your iphones, i just want to let u guys know that its POSSIBLE and its been done so u guys dont have to worry that you wont be able to unlock it forever.

Anniex423: oh my gosh, i just said its not an official apple store. In CHINA!!! they have people who opens stores just like a retail store but they can jailbreak/unlock your iPhones.

They opened up my iPhone BTW

cuz' i just saw it being done by pros so im not even sure, i can go ask them to teach me but whats the point lol, my phone's fixed.

The purpose of my post is to tell u guys that are stuck, not to worry cuz' its possible to unlock 3.1.3, baseband 05.12.01 and bootloader 6.2

Hey I'm in china myself and I know you can pay pple to do this... But i have a different problem...

Have you tried to access anything download or upgrade your rock or cydia apps?? Everything is bieng blocked...

I just want to restore to 3.1.2 with my 5.11.??whatever and go on with my life but snow is being blocked too... Do you know a reliable http or vpn that i can use with the wifi to get my unlock to go??

I heard a rumor too that china unicom might be able to unlock my canadian iphone I think that they even said that it is a permenent solution

Can you use iforecast on your pc, then post it up here for us to see, so we all can be convinced that they change your bootloader. No 3GS will have a bootloader of 5.08 unless....
