is it possible to unlock if i have 3.1.2 on cydia server
okay im just asking because my friend wanted to trade his 16GB 3gs for my 32GB 3gs but his 16GB has 3.1.2 on cydia server, is it possible for me to unlock it, it does have the baseband 5.12.01 , but it can be downgraded because it has 3.1.2 **** on file right ?

You cannot unlock it, but if Cydia shows "This device has shsh for 3.1.2 on file" then you can alter your iTunes hosts file to point at Sauriks server to downgrade. Why would you trade a 32gb for a 16gb?

Don't trade with him, he has restored to 3.1.3 and that is way his bb is 05.12...which is presently unlockable.
He then downgraded using 3.1.2 shsh on file with Cydia just to fool you, once the bb is updated , there is no going back....
Now this Iphone has version 3.1.2 but 3.1.3 bb...LMAO...
