Does ultrasn0w work with modem firmware 5.11.07?

I have an iPhone 3Gs that I jailbroke using the pwnagetool 3.1.4. I am using the custom 3.1.2 firmware that the pwnagetool made.

My modem firmware is 5.11.07

I am wanting to unlock the phone.

Per this walk-through, ultrasn0w only works with modem firmware 4.26.08:

Unlock iPhone 3.1.2 Firmware with ultrasn0w | Redmond Pie

Is this correct? I thought maybe ultrasn0w 0.92 that I got from Cydia might possibly work with my firmware - yet after installing it, I'm unable to connect to t-Mobile. (I've got the carrier bundle and APN's set correctly) I am using my t-mobile sim card that worked on this phone yesterday before I wiped it and reset everything.

The previous unlock on this phone was done with blackra1n - so this new approach I'm taking now is new to me. I can't tell if for some reason my sim card needs to be exchanged or if the phone is not unlocked properly.

I will go to the T-mobile store after I find out here if I unlocked correctly.

I figured it out.

I need to be using blacksn0w, not ultrasn0w.

It's finally working. After about 24 hours of frustration and countless posts on this board - I've got my phone working great!
