Default Downgrading from 3.1.3 to 3.1.2 - noob question

    Hello-

I recently upgraded my 2G iPhone from 3.0 to 3.1.3 using redsn0w, only to discover that MMS doesn't work.

Can I simply downgrade to 3.1.2, using the same process and just using the 3.1.2 ipsw file? (I've already downloaded iPhone1,1_3.1.2_7D11_Restore.ipsw)

    Will this cause any issues?

    Thanks in advance.

Mms should still work. What steps have you taken to enable mms?

Did you insert the right apn and did you install an app from cydia to enable mms (2G Enable MMS)?

    Thanks for your reply.

I first went looking for ActiveMMS2G (I think that's what it was called?), but looks like that's been removed from Cydia.

I tried installing both Native MMS iPhone 2G and Enable MMS for 2G & 3.1.2, but neither will install. Both give the error:

"The requested modifications cannot be applied due to required dependencies or conflicts that cannot be automatically found or fixed."

    Depends: Firmware = 3.1.2

    Thanks again!

Downgrade by downloading 3.1.2 ipsw from the Downloads section.

Shift+Restore (option for mac) in iTunes and restore to the 3.1.2 ipsw.

Jailbreak with Blackra1n, unlock with BootNeuter.
