Buying an iPhone 3gs, or no? (Unlock)

As of Today and Summer 2010, if I decide to get the Iphone 3gs, will there be a unlock for the hardware? I've realized that the basebands have been all upgraded and because of that you can't unlock. I have t-mobile, and the only way I'll upgrade my phone being if i get a 3gs with unlock.

No unlock for the new basebands yet. I'm thinking, like everyone else, when the new phone comes out.
