iPhone 3gs tethered to untethered?

if my phone is a 3GS 3.12 tethered jb unlocked. Can I use a custom 3.13 firmware from pwange to update the iphone to 3.13 and then use spirit for a perm untethered jailbrake??

The phone is running 3.12, but I did not backup my SHSH in time, a 3.13 SHSH is saved to the server.

Should probably back up your 3.1.2 SHSH files if you can. Don't know if you can restore with a custom firmware to 3.1.3 or restore at all cuz it's a 3GS, but you can try...

3GS won't accept custom firmware so if you need unlock, you should wait as you don't have your shsh backed up and theres no unlock for 3.1.3. Version 4.0 should be out next month and there will be great motivation to unlock and jailbreak.

If you don't need to unlock, restore to 3.1.3 and jailbreak with spirit

since it's jailbroken, can't it acept a custom made firmware from pwange? or is it cause when you turn it off, it loses the jailbroken state.
