Hello i just bought a iphone 3g model No. A1241 it has never been activated and my sim is not working. How do I unlock it I cant find out what firmware it is ether.

I also have tried putting the firmware upgrade to 3.1.2 and their was an error code 1015 which meens that you cant down grade the firmware does this mean i have a phone with 3.1.3 the guy that sold the phone told me that it would work for any server because it was directly from apple on a warranty return and he never activated it.

thank you i tried running F0rcast and nothing happened just opened up but no stats came up on my phone

no the dont show up on your phone... f0recast tells you (on the app on your computer) what baseband, bootloader and firmware your device has. It also tells you if its is unlockable or jailbreakable

Is your phone on when you do it?? Maybe you should put it in DFU mode then do it.
