    Default Question About Restoring...

I bought an iPhone 3G FW 3.1.3 off a friend, and somehow it has an unlocked 5.12.01 baseband (I don't know how). I already Jailbroke it myself, but now I'm wondering if it's possible to restore it to factory settings but still keep the unlock and jailbreak. Is this possible?

And would this be a good custom firmware to restore from?:

Please do not post links to custom firmware. And that would be considered it to me. Right now there is no way to unlock 5.12. Ask your friend how he did it.

Sorry about the link, didn't know about that rule.

But when you say "And that would be considered it to me.", do you mean that a Pre-activated and Pre-Jailbroken IPSW wouldn't affect the unlock that I currently have?

I meant considered because it wasn't a direct link but the page had the link and that was about it. Any firmware that has been altered cannot be linked. Links that are normally used are to the stock firmware, meaning directly from Apple.
