Help Unlocking iPhone 3g 3.0.1 BB 05.11.07

I need help unlocking my iphone 3g in order for it to work with t-mobile.. it's already been jailbroken.. has cydia installed on it.
is there an "easy" way for me to unlock it fast?

Baseband 05.11.07
Bootloader 06.04

In cydia, install source blackra1n.com, download and install blacksn0w. Done.

hmm.. it gives me a note while trying to install...

then says... Depends: iPhone Firmware >= 3.1

any clue??

Not sure but looks like you need to update firmware. to at least 3.1 I have a 3g with the same base band but i have 3.1.2 and used blacksn0w and worked perfect.

where and how can i upgrade the firmware to 3.1? do i need itunes?

Its actually available on this site in downloads. Since its a 3g, itunes wont ask for verification. I'd go with 3.1.2, jailbreak with either blackra1, or spirit, and unlock with blacksn0w.

Shift+restore to the 3.1.2 ipsw. Use Blackra1n which includes the Blacksn0w unlock as well. That in my opinion is the easiest thing to do.
