iPhone 3GS Spirit Jailbreak bricked

I jailbroke my iPhone 3GS with Spirit about a week ago and just recently update Cydia. Upon updating my iPhone began to reset but is now stuck at the Apple logo and occasionally the loading circle spins and then it restarts again. When plugged in to my Mac it does not even recognize a USB device in my Mac. HELP PLEASE! I'm scared that my phone is done forever

Put it in DFU mode then restore.

It's completely unresponsive to anything other than manual rebooting by holding home and sleep/wake.

Force into recovery mode by holding power+home for about 15 seconds. You should be able to get it into DFU mode though if you know what you're doing.
