urgent!!!!!Help unlocking iphone 2g 3.1.2

hey everyone i have an iphone 2g running 2.o.1
updated it to 3.1.2 and it got locked
i tried my best but coudnt unlock it
all i can see an emergency call button
plzzzz help me its really urgnt

Well, if your not on official carrier you gotta hactivate it, which you can do by jailbreaking. On iPhone 3.1.2, use blackra1n to jailbreak/hactivate it. Once you've done that, go into Cydia, and let it load up for the first time, and let it restart, blah blah.

Afterwards, go into Cydia and search up "Bootneuter" - download/install it.
Set Version to 3.9, make sure Neuter is set to On, have Fakeblank turned off, and have Unlock turned on. Once you have those settings tap on Flash in the upper right corner.

*Make sure you set your iPhone's "Auto-Lock" to never in settings!!

Let your iPhone reboot and it should be unlocked.

Edit: Reason for saying set it to never in Auto-Lock is because it's very important for the Flashing process to finish completely, so don't let it turn off, and don't interrupt the process by exiting the app or anything.

When your device reboots, the blackra1n app/logo isn't on your home screen? If blackra1n doesn't work i THINK you can use the newly released Spirit jailbreak to do the jailbreaking job. If blackra1n isn't showing up on your home screen, try using Spirit.

WAIT, Spirit won't do anything if you can't get passed that home screen. The device has to be activated before Spirit can do it's work. If you know anyone with an official carrier SIM you can use their sim to activate your phone maybe, but I don't understand why blackra1n won't hacktivate it for you. Try a clean restore and starting from scratch maybe. 2G iPhones are safe to be on 3.1.3, will always be unlockable.

Oh, I just remembered. You can use redsn0w v.0.94 or something along that line to hacktivate your phone and get Cydia and go off from there. If you restore your phone to 3.1.3 and use redsn0w, make sure you have the 3.1.2 IPSW file on hand, when it prompts you for it.

Edit: If you restore to 3.1.3, redsn0w is your only option. Blackra1n won't do anything to it.

If locked to 02 they will unlock . If not a customer get sim and put £15 on it , go to 02 site and fill in form. Mine was unlocked within 48 hours although they state 7-10 days

3.1.3 will be fine. The 2G will have a baseband that will always unlock because they stopped upgrading the 2G baseband.
