3.1.3 Officially Jailbroken, Now the wait for Unlocking ..

I thought I read somewhere that 3.1.3 wasn't much different from previous firmwares which were unlocked. Is that true? I'd love to see an unlock soon.

There is no unlock being developed for 3.1.3. The baseband for OS 4.0 is already different so the Devs are holding onto their exploit so when the NEW iPhone comes out they can use it to unlock everything at once.

Anyone know if we are gonna have to upgrade to 4.0 and change the baseband again to unlock? Or is the unlock gonna work for 5.12.01?

Also, if we do have to upgrade to 4.0 is the 3gs capable of handling that version?

this spirit j/b is no good for the 3gs that are on new baseband unless u have a simcard that can active your phone. can't really understand what's the fuss is all about
