Help! jailbroken Iphone 3G on 3.0.1 - want to update it

Hi! Hope somebody can help me. I have a Iphone 3G, which i jailbroke when it was on software 3.0.1 a few months ago. I want to upgrade the iphone software to the newest version now.

I know if I use itunes to update the software i will loose my unlock, and possibly wont be able to re-jailbreak it.

I have read that I need to use Pwnage but dont have a mac.
So I need to use Blackra1n, right?

Now, do I update the softwear through itunes to the newest, THEN use blackra1n, or do I need to do something first BEFORE i update to new software.

Please help, Im very muddled.

(oh, and to confuse things more, i need to do the same with an Iphone 2G on same softwear....arg!!)

Hey:

Okay just follow these two guides very carefully! Then you should be up and runnig with a iPhone 3G on 3.1.3 and a 2G on 3.1.3

Best thing for you Nicolel is to Jailbreak to 3.1.2 rather than 3.1.3. On iclarified, you have a wizard which gets you directly to the exact firmware you want or need. try it out. I used it to Jailbreak from 3.0. to 3.1.2. heres the link. iClarified - Jailbreak Wizard for iPhone, iPad, iPod, AppleTV. if you need further help, holla back.

Try a CFW 3.1.2 without baseband update to 05.11.07.
You stay on 04.26.08 and unlock it via Cydia with ultrasnow.
