How do you unlock a iphone 3gs?!

okay so i just got one i did black rain but that made my screen black...Now how do i do it easy and fast?

I need this in known "Tech" talk so i know what the heck i'm going to be doing.

3.1 something i believe.
i want to use it on At&t.
But when i jaibreak or try to unlock it a black screen is there.
It kind of sucks because i payed alot for it.

Well... If you just got it brand new from apple it should have 3.1.3 firmware which, currently, is not unlockable or jailbreakable. To check you firmware go to settings > general> about. Hope this helps.
