    Default O2 unlock

I have a 3gs running 3.1.2 but my backup in cydia is 3.1.3. It is currently running a tethered blackra1n jailbreak. Do I have to restore in itunes to activate the official O2 unlock, and if I do will I lose the jailbreak? Thanks.

Right, got the unlock text, followed the instructions, ie. inserted orange sim, plugged into itunes, downloaded a small carriers file for unlock, got congratulations your phone is now unlocked.

The problem now is that my phone is stuck in restore mode and blackrain isn't working at all. Also when I open blackrain an avg warning comes up saying the file has a trojan. This has never happened before. Any help gratefully received!!! Thanks.

You have to be on a monthly contract with O2 and they unlock your phone for free. If you are on a pay as you go iphone I think you have to pay £15 for the unlock.
