how to unlock 2g 8gb 3.1.2 that has official firmware...

I just did a full restore on my 2g 8gb using the erase all and settings was running 3.1.3 unlocked and jailbroke. But then I restored a offical firmware 3.1.2 and nows it locked and can only be used for emergency calls and itunes says it cannot use this iphone basically because unsupported sim card.

Anyone know the steps to unlock it to a custom firmware?

Create or download an ACTIVATED custom firmware. It will already be jailbroken. Then, depending on your baseband, unlock with Ultrasn0w (baseband below 5.11.07) or Blacksn0w (5.11.07 baseband). Done.

Or, keep what you already have and use blackra1n to jailbreak and blacksn0w which comes within the blackra1n process to unlock. Save yourself the extra step of restoring again.

Sorry, you said 2G. To unlock, just install BootNeuter from Cydia after you Blackra1n it.
