3GS on firm ware 3.1.2 stuck in DFU Mode black screen please help!

Have similar prop execpt not on version 3.1.3 I Got a brand new 3.1.2/5.11.07 3GS the iPhone Dev Team blog states that Pwnage Tool is safe for 3.1.2/5.11.07 - so I went that route to get 3.1.2 back to stock.

Long story short - error 1600, stuck in DFU mode. Not amount of holding power, or power+home gets me out of if. My only option is a restore to 3.1.3, so I have a rather expensive paperweight until a 3.1.3 fix is put out but i have not done it yet any help would be much appreciated thanks in advance

Did you try running blackra1n? sometimes it will kick it out of dfu mode. But try different things before you upgrade to 3.1.3.

There is also a program called libUSB that is supposed to be able to get your phone out of dfu mode. Google it.
