    Default Help restoring to 3.1.2

    Hey guys,

Not sure where to post this but have a quick question.
Im going to sell my iPhone 3g on 3.0 firmware to some dude and need to restore the phone to 3.1.2 tonight

Ive been out of the scene for a while and need a refresher.
Do I download official 3.1.2 firmware and shift + restore in Itunes? Note that the next guy will be doing the JB/Unlock

Also, what do yall think would be the best program to simply activate the phone? So he can test it out and all that?

Thanks in advance for the info

You can restore to a custom 3.1.2 firmware which will automatically jailbreak the phone, or you can find a stock 3.1.2 firmware and shift+restore it.

The best method to jailbreak the device on 3.1.2 is Blackra1n (Google it, it's like the first link). It's quick and easy to use. The unlock for it is called Blacksn0w which will be included with Blackra1n. A detailed guide on how to use Blackra1n can be found through your good friend Google as well :P
