Hi all, I'm kinda new to this, but I was able to use blackra1n on my phone and get it unlocked so I can use my service here in England.

Couple of questions though---

If I update my carriers in Itunes, will it lock my phone up again?

I know not to update the firmware, not that stupid about this.

Also, what exactly does jailbreaking your phone allow you to do?

Will probably come up with a few more questions, so please bear with me.
