HELP!!!! Need unlocking help!!!

I sent a iphone 3g to a buddy in Switzerland and he recieved it today. Before I sent it off i jailbroke/unlocked using black rain so he would be able to use it with his carrier(suisse com) there in Geneva. Well he inserted his sim and it say "SIm Lock". If anyon could help us figure this out it would be awesome. Thanks Guys

I believe a sim lock means that the password for the sim card is active. If your friend doesnt remember the password, he'll have to get a new sim.

He may have to put the sim card in his original phone and go to settings and turn off the sim lock. Again he will need the password.

he said that he put it in his old phone check settings and that the sim is not locked. im still a noobie at this so could it be anything else? any tios would be greatly appreciated.

Try locking the sim with the old phone and then unlocking it before using it in the iPhone.
If that dont work, then go to your carrier and say you lost your phone but need another sim to use.
