how to check if your unlock without sim

I have an iphone 2g and I would like to check if my iphone is unlocked before i go on my trip... the only way I found to check if im unlocked is to get a tmobile sim... is there any other way to check it without switching sims?

Good question. Cant think of anything off the top of my head. But you gotta know someone on Tmobile, or another gsm carrier. See if you can put their sim in your phone to check.

Or, since its a 2g, just go thru the restore unlock process. Lots of tutorials here, and its really easy and a good learning experience. But DO NOT UPGRADE to 3.1.3!!

you mean re-jailbreaking and doing the unlock again? I really don't wanna hassle if I don't want to... I know someone on the tmobile network but i do not want to ask if I don't have to
