Removing an unlock?
Hello iPhone users!
is there a way to remove ultrasn0w ?
Why you ask? because it's been nothing but trouble and i simply unlocked because i didn't know what it meant...and it was in the blackra1n screen.
I have no intention of switching to another provider or anything.
would getting a replacement SIM fix it?
I've had quite a lot of troubles including wifi stopping working...twice. Signal droping off while downloading from the store/cydia.
and etc. Any answers?

Restore your phone and rejailbreak it without the unlock. Note if you have a 3gs you don't want to upgrade to 3.1.3 so do some research before doing this if so.

i had similar probs with blacksnow on my previous 3gs
i think u can just uninstall ultrasnow or blacksnow off cydia or rock in the "manage" icon cant you?
i got the network to unlock the iphone to save worring about hack unlocking when jailbreaking in the future, but have to wait to activate it till hopefully just the next FWU because i have to restore the iphone in order to activate the network unlock, if i update now i lose jailbreaking but get to use any sim, if i hack unlock ill probably lose my blutooth and tethering like last time (i just thought had a thought,.... i may have lost it cause i chose activate on pwnagetool, rather than not activate which would have then recognised the voda sim and all its functions!! doh!) ....so i am just holding tight to see what happens with the next FWU.
u might want to look into fixes for unlocked iphones having probs with wifi i have seen solutions floating around...just search search search...otherwise just uninstall it, it is just a packageLast edited by Remember God; 03-09-2010 at 05:25 AM.

So the network youre using isn't the original carrier? There are fixes for problems with wifi when using those hack unlocks , u just gotta take some time searching

im still using the original carrier. think the ISM card itself might be screwed.
Anyway thats not exactly my problem right now, yesterday the iphone started going into a no-service frenzy and eventually wouldnt catch
the service at all. Tried rebooting it and it stayed on the apple logo... forever.
starting to piss me off a bit. Ill have to restore, again for the 3rd time in 3 weeks. god bless SHSH.
Normally this is how i proceed :
Restore in itunes
it will appear in the activation screen (911)
i have to do ANOTHER restore
service wont work even with original sim
so i need to make it rain and use blacksn0w....
am i doing something wrong?

Check them sim on another phone that is the same carrier. If it stuffs on that it's the simIf not it's something on the phone, ur custom restore may be corrupt or it could be a hardware problem. ( so ur shah restoring then custom restoring, is that right?, sorry I had my old bootrom iPhone swapped with a new bootrom so restoring isn't an option for me right now, so I'm not that savvy on shshing
It could also be a Cydia app causing the problem, I found tethering toggle addon for sbs settings actually killed my tethering for USB and bluetooth it took me a few days to work out it was that causing it.Last edited by Remember God; 03-15-2010 at 02:39 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
