iPhone 3GS 3.1.3 5.12.07 hacktivation?

Hey there guys, I am stuck on 3.1.3 at the moment and I know that there are no jailbreaks or unlocks for it atm.

I was just wondering if there is a way to hacktivate it since I bought it from the USA and I am in Germany.

I just want to use it for surfin and music - any clues on that?

would it be possible to buy a prepaid AT&T card and use it in germany for legal activation maybe?

Just found my old AT&T simcard that came with my first iphone 2G and voila it worked now I can use it as iPod and browser at least. So everyone that is stuck aswell and desperate might want to try to buy a card to activate and use it as the previously said devices.

Same here ... i am also stuck with 3.1.3 iPhone 3GS new bootrom .. MC model.. I am desperately waiting for the release for jailbreak and unlock .. Guys please post any details for the same ..

I registered just to tell you how unhelpful you are.
spirit requires you to be in the homescreen and not stuck in "connect to itune" screen.

First of all read what they are asking.
And secondly, your language really shows what kind of person you are. Not judging you, just telling you.

For the OP their was a phonebook SIM trick that was working for a while but now it seems it has stopped working for some people.

I'd say try to find an original carrier sim from your friend or one laying around from the past, as I think the number embedded on it is what is being confirmed in association to the carrier you bought it through.

If that doesn't work maybe find a small phone shop that may deal with the under the table methods of getting some things to work. If you can hold on for a bit longer, the new exploit that coming out for 4.1 seems promising to rip a hole in the MC security.
