Hi everyone,
I am new to Iphone.I just bough an iphone 2G on ebay.When I received the phone I turned it on and this is what I see on the screen:

No SIM card installed
Insert a valid SIM with no PIN lock
to activate iPhone.

Is that normal?Can this phone be unlocked?

Please tell me what can I do next?

when I put my sim card in the message disappear but i only can make the emergency call .

it shows the iTunes icon and the USB side of the iPhone cable

Sounds like it isnt activated. Which carrier are you going to use? If it hasnt been unlocked and hasnt been updated to factory 3.1.3 base band 5.12.01), you can unlock it. Lots of how to's on this site.

If you're trying to use T-Mobile, try running redsn0w to hacktivate the phone and unlock it.

why my Iphone does not show it home screen.It shows the icon of itune and the other side of the usb cable?Help me please!Thank you.
