I just bought an iPhone from a friend who was on at&t. I have t-mobile. the firmware is 3.1 model number starts with MB. what im concerned about is the 5.11.07 modem firmware(is this the baseband?)
i was wondering if the baseband could be downgraded by restoring it to factory settings or is that just a waste of time?
It is possible to jailbreak and unlock your Iphone to use with T-mobile.
Download Itune 9 (DO NOT UPDATE TO FIRMWARE 3.1.3 WHEN ASKED)

If for some reason that doesnt work, Download Fuzzy Band on Cydia and downgrade your baseband from 05.11.07 to 04.28.01 then use Ultrasnow to unlock it.
