Iphone 3gs - doest it become lock if turn off?

Hi,
So I heard that the phone would become lock and need to be reset & unlocked if you turn the phone off.. is this true? If it is and in cases it does turn off for whatever reason, is it possible to unlock it again? i'm a iphone noobie.. please advise..

I think you're referring to a tethered jailbreak.

1) If your 3GS was made before week 39, you won't experience that.
2) If it was after week 39, you will find yourself with a tethered jailbreak.
3) The phone will not lock up you just have to keep running blackra1n everytime it turns off. You can go on using it as usual, you just have to run blackra1n every time but you don't have to go through the unlock process again and again.
