[Unconfirmed] There is an unlock with new baseband 5.12.01 3gs

hey everyone i have found a new way to unlock your phone but it will stay on one carrier i had and fido iphone 3gs with 3.1.3 software and it was locked then i downgraded to 3.1.2 and jailbroke it then it got unlocked until i connected to itunes then it would say invalid sim card you cant activate so i put my fido sim to put my songs and apps on but locked it again and i wasnt able to get back rogers on so i played around with it for 3 days then i downgrade to 3.1.0 then it activated to stupid phone without jailbreak or have

please look into this hackers cause wtf this happened 2 times just want to help the people out there

fyi i have had the hosts settings changed in itunes and i ran 8.2 itunes windows vista

there is something out there i aint no hacker but i played around with it so test this **** out people you got nothing to lose but some time

and please its not factory unlocked and 100% fido locked phone now rogers and the fido doesnt work now

this is my 3rd thread i had 1 before and i screwed up by replacing sim and syncing but that mistake wont happen again cause no unlock

That is one of the most convoluted stories without anything specific I have heard in a long time. No where did you actually run a program that changed the baseband in any way.. all you did was change out SIM cards.

its not fake i swear to god im just helping out i have a fido phone and it activated a rogers sim card which did not used to do before so i dont now what happened and why it activated as a legit phone fido and rogers are same model mc147 but the dont activate the same and i aint lying im just helping so look into it and find something

Somehow, and excuse me if it's happened to someone else & I'm not awares, but was foolin around a couple days ago in Cydia when I noticed for the first time after updating to 3.1.3 about 3 weeks ago & downgrading back to 3.1.2 [Baseband 05.12.01] (Currently Installed Firmware) that all of a sardine, I had 3G and Edge access. Have no clue how I did it, but if anyone knows about any files on the device that could shed some light on the issue, I'll gladly check it out..

dont waste your time expaining this to people cuz they wont belive and as long as yours work thats all that matters i have tried helping people out and explaing the proccess but they dont belive i have done this about 4 times all succesful and confirmed

and rebelmedia mines done that to on blackrain and the 3rd time ive done it accually got activated on itunes somehow and its not factory unlocked weired but oh well its not unlocked just works with 1 sim provider

ok when you upgrade to 3.1.3 and upgrade your baseband downgrade it back to 3.1.2 and if doesnt activate it in itunes then use a use an offical sim card of phones in it but MAKE SURE YOU DONT ACTIVATE IT!!!! just put it in so itune just reconize. just put it in and when you get the syncing sign remove sim quickly then put in your other sim.

when you do that jailbreak i use blackrain then if dont get service still
then make sure u uninstall and use 8.2 itunes then downgrade to 3.1.0 and it should automaticly activate in itunes with your sim like t-mobile o2 rogers fido etc.... i have done this about 4 times but im scared that i will lose my provider if i do it again try it.
im not sure how this happens but i think it messes around with there server apples and activates it.

i am using windows vista home
16g 3gs first week came out
itunes 9 downgrade to 8.2

and dont be mad at me if it dont work cause im just helping
and it worked for me by playing around with it. it also happened to rebalmedia^^^ same thing happened it gets activated

Lol you should block out some of your info in your screenshot. You know if Apple sees your IMEI they can block your phone and you won't be able to use it as a phone period :P

^ although I agree it's probably a good idea to block out that info, I seriously doubt apple is going to block your phone over it. Someone could manipulate the image to canhe a number or two before posting, and then what, some poor random iPhone user with that actual imei gets blocked?

Are you saying using a locked carrier (official) SIM card and a carrier (unofficial),it can be unlocked using your method? I m willing to give it a try. Currently mine is jailbreak but locked.
I do not have this official SIM card, but if I can get it from ebay (pre-paid one), do you think it will work?

Ok, disseminating step by step:
Upgraded to 3.1.3 by mistake and able to downgrade by SHSH files stored at Saurik.
If phone is already jailbroken but still locked, still have to downgrade to ofw 3.1.2, and then again to ofw 3.1.0 while using itunes 8.2?
