Redsnow works too and you downgrade firmware but not baseband so jailbreak is easy. Unlock is complicated.

Hello,

iPhone 32gb 3G S - 3.1.3 baseband 05.12.10. Somebody told me he can unlock it, he asked 250 USD to do it (toooo expansive)no penny less. The guy have a tech. store in DC so he is not a scammer. What do you think guys about that ?

Wow,$250.00 you can almost buy a used Iphone 3GS 16gb for that, I think $30.00 is reasonable if he can do that.

if anyones nuts and desprete enough to pay 250 greens then go ahead you I sure would not pay anything for that no way hozay even 30 greens is still way over the top

I didn't say i will go for it, when I said what do you think, I mean to dicuss the think that at least there is a way to unlock that kind of iPhones and that way is expensive because it's not popular yet.I read in that forum some one says he was asked 125$ to unlock his device. I didn't ask the guy if the unlock would be with a software or hardware?

Sorry was not ment to point at any on was just saying in general I would not that much you can get unlocks on fle bay Hahah I always Call it that lol but I say DTA don't trust anybody when it comes to your hard earned greens

I used Spirit with no problems- won't unlock but will jailbreak it. I am using a 3GS running 3.1.3 on new boot rom

i have just jailbreaked & unlocked iphone 3gs with 3.1.3 OS & baseband 5.12.1.
It took me not more than 10 minutes to do so after the firmware 3.1.3 was installed . I am loaded with happiness when this happended

what were the steps you used to unlock it? was your phone jailbroken before 3.1.3?

i have a 3gs on 3.1.3 that has never been unlocked or jailbroken, just wondering if it's possible and what the best way is.
