Iphone 3g 3.1.2 Blackn0w , need advise...

Hi Peeps ,

Well it's that time again where i have the itch to upgrade firmware , and as usual I only trust the ModmyI group as they have always given me the right advise (Geniuses i tell you)

Ok so here goes , got a Iphone 3G from the UK currently in South Africa,
It is on firmware 3.0.1 and I want to upgrade to 3.1.2 and use Blackra1n to jailbreak and the Blacksn0w to unlock...

Is this as possible as they say , can I go ahead with this process...

Download official iphone 3.1.2 firmware from Apple
Bakcup phone
Restore firmware 3.1.2 and then run Blackra1n and then Blacksn0w.

Will this work is is quite stable?

Yes that is what you need to do.
Upgrade to 3.1.2, use blackra1n for jailbreak, and download blacksn0w for unlock.

You could do that if you don't mind the risks.

Far safer to use Pwnage to preserve your BB and continue to use UltraSn0w.

confucious got a point, we use pwnage and redsnow to sort my brothers problem. Ultra snow is a good option too.
