unlocking iphone 3G 3.1.3 "common problems common solutions here"

hello friends, i have iphone 3G running on 3.1.3 version and 5.12.1 baseband......by mistake i upgraded my phon to 3.1.3 then i jailbrake it succesfuly by pwnage tool.....now i dont know how to unlock it.some say there is no solution for it some say u can downgrade ur version .....so how to downgrade coz apple has stopped allowing downgrade.....what if i try to unlock will there be a chance that i can never unlock my iphone as i read it on dev blog!

plz help me im trying it since last 4 days!

I have the same problem too. Waste 4 days time try to unlock it. Now, just waiting and let dev team to find a solution for it..

for 5.12.1 we can only jailbrake the iphone but can not unlock..thus we have to wait till dev team has a solution for it

You can downgrade your firmware but your baseband is stuck forever at 5.12.01 which isn't unlockable.

i dont know abt windows but for mac users u can do it through pwnage tool

No it can't. Please don't give people false hope.

Pwnage is Mac only. What device do you have? RedSn0w can JB for most devices.

Have you try downgrading it by using redsnow? My brother's phone works by using redsnow. but there are some errors occur.

I have 3g which starts with MB Os is 3.1.3 modem fw is 5.12.01 baseband 6.04. Fuzzy band didn't work, help how to unlock it? It is jailbroken.

BB 05.12.01 can't be unlocked.

No unlock has been released yet, but it is possible to jailbreak the 3G 3.1.3 5.12 - I've done it.

Just sit tight and the Dev team will release something soon or call the service provider and pay to have the phone unlocked if you can't wait.

Also, you can unlock if you're on the older baseband, to check get the fuzzyband app.

As everyone has said, there is no problem Jailbreaking 3.13, it is unlocking BB 05.12.01 that is the problem. I would not expect an unlock for this BB from the Dev Team.
Fuzzyband only works with BL 05.08 which was only on a very few 3G phones week 28 of 08 which rules out 99% of phones and especially the person who I was replying to who had already said that they were on 06.04

i have a 3GS i've flashed it with a custom firmware 3.1.3 , the basband is still 5.11.07 . so it is unlockable, but when trying to unlock it by blackra1n , i install it , when installation is completed , cydia is freez and the whole iphone is freez and software is crached and need to be restored with itunes agian. any help??
