Baseband Bootloader 05.09 to 05.08 Possible ?

Is there any workaround to Downgrade from Baseband Bootloader 05.09 to 05.08 since fuzzyband wont do it.... if so, that means unlock for 3 G on 3.1.3 should work rite .

Somebody reported that even with the 5.11.07 baseband being on 3.1.3 the unlock does not work.

To answer your question, if you have bootloader 5.09 that's what you have. You can't downgrade your bootloader as that is not a software issue. It is hardware and fuzzyband we all know only works on 5.08.

Read all the posts before you post. I said, bootloaders cannot be downgraded. If you have 5.09 that's what you're stuck with. It's hardware not software meaning you can't use software tools to downgrade hardware.

You can't upgrade your iphone's camera from 2.0 mpx to 8.0 mpx can you? Same with bootloaders.

There is no unlock for 5.12.01 or downgrade got baseband except for those with 5.0& bootloader at this time. There is no other workaround.

so what u say Anniex, all people who got iphone 3G with 05.09 modem firm cant make noting to work there phone? is there other way to downgrade 3.1.2 and make it work or anythink please help us?

Yeah. You can only downgrade your baseband to unlock if you have bootloader 5.08. There is nothing you can do if you have bootloader 5.09 and up. If you're on baseband 5.12.01 and do NOT have bootloader 5.08 then you are stuck and have to wait.

You can downgrade 3.1.2 all you want (I don't see why one would need to, it is fully jailbreakable) but I am assuming you want an unlock. Your baseband is what matters when it comes to unlocking. And if you are already on 5.12.01, you have no way of unlocking at this time.

They're supposed to release an unlock when the new iphone comes out with 4.0 which is probably June July so a month/two. I hope it comes out soon since im waiting too!

this is ridiculous!!! why wont anyone figure out how to unlock 3.1.3 with bootloader 05.09 and baseband 5.12.01!?!?!? I wish i was tech savvy!!!

what i don't get is this. I had my iphone 3g jailbroken and unlock before, i used blackra1n to do this, i was trying to clear out my messages and contacts so i decide to do a quick restore, the phone froze and it was put in recovery mode. (here is my mistake) I updated the phone with the latest software 3.1.3. anywho i jailbroke it again using spirit and load fuzzyband to unlock it but unfortunitely my baseband was 5.09. If this is a hardware issue how come i cant unlock it again my hardware hasnt change, i just made the mistake of updating it with the latest software. I tried downgrading but im having a hard time do that. thanks.

Seriously, I'm so mad! All I want is this POS phone unlocked!
And thinking that someone has the file on his HD and won't share it is pissing me off big time!
I don't give a @#$% if new iphone OS4 is coming.....and they want to hold.
Guess what 4.1 will be coming and so on and it will be the same @#$% over and over again and again until apple pulls their head out of their giant ignorant asses and makes it available for everybody, meaning no lock!
It's like those stupid region codes for DVD's.....who thought of that crap!

@Dc, your bootloader cannot be changed from 5.09. Just cuz you could unlock before has nothing to do with the bootloader. The baseband determines that. Your baseband is 5.12.01 which cannot be downgraded unless you have bootloader 5.08, which you dont and will never have with that particular phone. Thats why you cant unlock right now. Your bootloadet determines whether you can downgrade your baseband or not which determines if you can unlock or not. If your bootloader is 5.09 it cannot downgrade a baseband so you cant unlock.

That's exactly what I thought, but it seems it's not possible.
I assume....otherwise I'm sure it would've been done already by the same guy.

Thats a bit easy for you to say isnt it? It not an easy thing to do. You have to find exploits for these things. Just cuz thats what you think should happen doesnt mean they havent tried its more complex than your simple words.

i know its must be hard but, i just wonder why the same game who ever is dont try this, will be final i think ppl dont need next unlock just need thing to fix unlock if we have fuzzy to work with 50.09++++ apple can do whatever they want to, we can downgrade and fix unlocks))
