Not an Apple fan girl but I have had MANY phones and iPhone has always been a 10/10 for me.

It amazes me at how many fake unlock vids on youtube and websites their are...Being new to the entire unlock/jb thing it could be very easy to fall for something and pay for a service not rendered.

Newbie here, but have been researching on web for a few weeks now on Iphone info. I have a 2G iPhone 3.1.3 which is JB and unlocked and I've been using it on Tmobile prepaid (no data) for a few weeks and its working great, no issues. Now I want to give this phone to the wife for use with her Tmobile PLAN sim card to stick in (hopefully that will work) and then buy a 3GS for myself. Since its pretty hard to find a cheap 3GS that has been unlocked, not sure if I want to buy one right now. I had a 3G that I bought on ebay, but with 5 different sim cards, all I got was "no sim card installed" so I luckily returned it (hopefully I'll get my refund from the guy) thinking there was something wrong with it. He claimed he was running a gophone sim on it and it worked fine before he shipped it. But I think he may have restored it before shipping it. Anyways, with no unlock available yet for 3.1.3, won't a Gophone sim work which is prepaid and AT&T that I can use until the unlock comes out for 4.0 when its released? I was under the impression that a gophone sim will work even if the iphone is NOT unlocked. I would of course have to wait for 4.0 and an unlock before I could stick my tmobile sim back in it. Comments? Thanks in advance for any input.

i have a 3GS w 3.1.2 unlocked n jailbreaked... all was well until i restarted phone it did the apple logo then shut off thing...not knowing my stuff at all, i took it to apple store and they restored it. now its just in recovery mode w the USB image and arrow towards itunes. i just tried blackra1n and nothing. am i screwed or can i fix this?? i cant tell what version i have now, if i got upraded..nothing.help me please!!!

Some Youtube unlockers stink...i knew there were unlocks for 3.1.3 and since i was in the videos i upgraded to 3.1.2 since i had to restore due to a problem. If the Youtuber would have said you needed a custom 3.1.3 i may have been able to have an unlocked iphone with t-mobile again. Now i have an iPhone 3G, 5.09 boot loader, 5.12.01 baseband, and 3.1.2 firmware (downgraded to see if it would help). Downgrading firmware no longer downgrade your baseband like it did in 3.1. Apple is retarded and their ONLY good product is the iPhone. Although overpriced for unlocked iPhone's, since they have a ridiculous contract with another overpricer AT&T, the iPhones are very fast even my version 3G. Apple focus on the people that aren't spoiled and pay 30 dollars for 3G!!!! I have T-Mobile and i pay 5.99 for web2go and it gives me 3G and Edge although 3G bands are not compatible in the U.S. It is important for apple to realize that not everyone will pay $110 a month to AT&T. Also not many will pay 1,500 for a mac book pro with sucky processors. I can buy a laptop with core i7 ultimate and more for under 1,500 dollars on windows 7 and do so much more. Software is all you have and it lures spoiled retards into thinking that Macs don't get viruses and that they are faster. THey don't get viruses since the users of Macs are not hackers or people that want things for free. Why? because those people are not retarded!!! Make a change for those who are not dumb enough too be lured into your tricks. Software=$0.00 expense for Apple!!! Anyone can get their hands on Apple software for free if they try. Apple you suck except for the iPhone.

^ :P basebands were never downgradable even on 3.1 aside from phones with bootloader 5.08. Just wanted to clarify...

Its weird because when i got 3.1 update i downgraded backto 3.0 and upgraded to a custom firmware and it downgraded my baseband...i dont know how but the custom firmware did it. Can't wait for the unlock.

Iphone unlock for version 3.1.3 will be available on the 18th of June, as soon as the new i phone is released.

Until then you will NOT be able to unlock this version, do not believe internet ads which tell you they can.

I will personally be unlocking these phones when the unlock becomes available.

your phone is not unlock but sad to say you cant unlock it without jailbreaking it first...
