Push stopped working on iphone 3g after unlock

I jailbroke and unlocked my iphone 3g 5.11.07 using blackra1n/blacksn0w with an att sim (the sim isnt activated with an account). I restored the phone and let the sim activate it. After the unlock, I put in an unofficial sim and push notifications stopped working. I noticed that i get notifications once the unofficial sim is out. What might be the problem? Any help would be great. Thanks

I've tried pushfix but it didn't help. I think I just didn't activate the phone correctly. Can you please explain the exact process of activating the phone? For example, I know it needs activation right after the restore via itunes. Is there any other time during the jailbreak and unlock where I need to activate the phone? Thanks
